How will my order be delivered?
We ship all orders from Ireland. Smaller packets will be despatched by An Post under normal circumstances. Heavier parcels will normally be delivered by Courier or An Post. It is important that the phone number you provide with your order is a daytime contact number in the event that your address cannot be located.
We can deliver your order to a work address to ensure that the delivery driver can locate you. Please provide your billing address if you choose to have your order to your work address. We will not send your order to a P.O. box or 'Parcel Holding' type third party 'mail forwarding' delivery service.
How much does shipping cost?
Delivery costs just €1.99 for orders up to €15, €4.99 for orders from €15 up to €99 and free of charge for orders over €100.
Can I collect my order from your premises?
Unfortunately not. We are exclusively an online retailer and do not offer walk in sales services.
How do I place an order online using Credit Card or Debit Card?
Ordering products from PhonesOnline is easy. You simply place the items you require in your shopping cart by clicking on the 'ADD TO CART' button whenever you see an item you would like to buy. Adding an item to your cart does not commit you to buy as you can always remove it later.
You can review the contents of your cart at any time on the shopping cart page. Once you have found all the items you need, go to the checkout, choose your payment method and pay for your purchases by following the simple instructions given there.
Please ensure that you include the following information with your order, as we cannot process your order without this information:

If paying by Credit or Debit card, a valid Visa, Mastercard or Debit card with the full name as displayed on the card, the billing address and the card number and expiry date.
We use Shopify to process your credt card payment. The payment will appear as 'Phone Solutions' on your credit card statement. Credit Card/Laser transactions are secured using a minimum of 256 bit encryption, so you can be assured that your information is secure.
Placing an order if paying by Bank Transfer, or Postal Order

I would like to pay by Credit card. Which do you accept?
We accept credit cards such as Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard and MasterCard debit cards.
However, for all card orders, we need to ship to the registered name and address of the card holder, so please quote these exactly as they appear on your statement.
You can use the following ways to pay for your order: Credit Card or Debit Card through our secure shopping cart.
How Secure is your Website?
When you submit your credit card or Laser number to purchase merchandise from our online shop, we offer the use of a secure server.The secure server software (SSL) encrypts the credit card information you submit before it is sent to us. This helps assure that the information is protected against unauthorised access.
PhoneOnline.ie personnel have no access to credit card information at any time. We use Shopify to process your credit/debit card information. Realex use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt credit card details, with a minimum of 256 bit encryption. PhoneOnline.ie would like you to feel absolutely secure in using our site.
Do you share my information with third parties?
Phonesonline.ie directly collects the information given at the time orders are placed. This information is not disclosed to any third party.
With the exception of matters related to orders, we do not email customers; no newsletters, special offers or other spam will be sent to our customers.
All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

What about VAT & Tax Charges?
All of our new phones and accessories include tax. All orders made from Ireland are subject to 23% VAT. This is included in the price shown on our product pages. Pre-Owned and Refurbished phones or accessories may be 'VAT Margin' zero rated for VAT purposes. This will be explained in the product description.
I am looking for a phone that has not yet been released. Can you tell me when it will be out and how much it will cost?
Unfortunately, mobile handset manufacturers do not give precise dates of launches in advance nor do they give any prices. Therefore we are not able to quote accurately. You will see on our web page a number of new phones that are due to be released with the best indication that we have.
A SIM Free mobile phone is an unlocked phone that is not locked to any particular network so any SIM card will work with your phone.
Do all your phones work in Ireland, EU and USA?
In Ireland the networks use either GSM 900 (O2 and Vodafone) or GSM 1800. Most of our phones are dual band and will therefore work on either of these and most of the world. In the USA and Canada, GSM operators use GSM 1900. Therefore you need either a tri-band phone or a dual band that has GSM 1900 capability. Here is a list of some of the best-sellers that will work in the US and most of the world.
We currently only accept credit card or debit card payments from customers resident in Ireland.
We will ship to other countries if payment is made by bank transfer in advance.
Costs of Products & Services
The costs of each product or service is displayed on the web site. Prices should always be confirmed prior to placing an order, as these may have changed from when you last visited the web site.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery normally takes between 1 to 3 business days (Mon-Fri ordered before 3pm) for in-stock items.
On average, orders are delivered within 1-2 working days (Mon-Fri ordered before 3pm) after payment has been received, subject to acceptance of your order and your item being in stock and verification of your address.
Out-of-Stock items ordered are automatically placed on back order. For a delivery time on out-of-stock products, please contact us prior to ordering.
Some products are marked as 'Special Orders' or 'Ordered on Request' or 'Ships in X Days'. Please contact us prior to ordering to ensure availability and for an estimated delivery time.
We may ask for further information to verify your address, which may delay your order being despatched.
What about Back Orders?
All of our products are subject to availability. If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. We will contact you advising of the availability of the item and give you the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. We will continue to update you as the position changes.
What about Credit Card Security?
All credit card and debit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using a minimum of 128 bit encryption.
They are not held on any website or database on our systems.
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet.
What about a Warranty?
All our new products are covered by a two year manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated. Some products including 'Pre-Owned' or refurbished phones and accessories, for example, batteries or data cables may be covered by a six month warranty.
In the unlikely event that the equipment proves to be defective due to materials or workmanship, it will be repaired free of charge by the manufacturer.
To return goods to us, please contact us prior to returning the item to obtain an RMA authorisation. Items should be parcelled securely and include all manuals, accessories and original packaging. Please include a note detailing your original order reference, contact details including a contact phone number and a full description of the fault.
Please Note: We are unable to accept returns other than by courier or post. We cannot accept returns by hand from customers. For your security, we recommend the item be sent by recorded delivery. We will reimburse the cost of returning the item upon verification that the item has a manufacturing defect.
Prices and Product Description
While we do our best to ensure that the prices and the technical specifications we quote on our web site are correct and up to date, we cannot guarantee that they are.
Should there be any variation in price while your order is being processed, we will contact you to make you aware of these variations and confirm your acceptance.
If a price of an item goes down between when you post your order and when we send our confirmation of your order, you will only be charged the lower price.
All transactions are processed using the latest fraud detection techniques. We do not tolerate any attempts to obtain goods or services by fraudulent means. All fraudulent action will be reported to the relevant authorities. Your ISP information and computer's IP and MAC addresses are captured when placing online orders.
You may be asked to verify your delivery address prior to despatch of your order. We will contact you after your order is placed if we require such information. This verification may take the form of a utility bill, drivers licence or other official means of identification.
Are all the phones you sell new?
All our phones are new unless otherwise stated. 'Refurbished' or 'Pre-Owned' phones have been previously owned, however they have been fully tested and are in working condition.
'Refurbished' or 'Pre-Owned' phones come with a warranty of between 3-12 months, unless otherwise stated. The warranty does not cover liquid damage, as these phones may have been opened previously.
